When it comes to Play-Doh and Silly Putty, it seems to be inevitable that kids will try to eat them.

So folks at Uptown Library got one step ahead of the kids on Wednesday by hosting a program where kids could make edible Play-Doh and Silly Putty.

By using ingredients such as powdered sugar, frosting and Kook-Aid packets, the children could make their gooey dough and putty to play with and eventually eat.

The activity seemed to be hit, drawing a big crowd outside the library, working and playing in the shade of large trees.

A similar activity is slated for 2 p.m. Aug. 13 at Simmons Library, 711 59th Place.
