Bindi Irwin and family to celebrate late father on Steve Irwin Day at the Australia Zoo – USA TODAY

The Irwin family is gearing up for an annual celebration of their late patriarch, Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin

Bindi Irwin, 21, shared a countdown Sunday night on Instagram for the Australia Zoo’s upcoming Steve Irwin Day celebration on Nov. 15, which boasts “free BBQ brekkie,” an obstacle course, a musical performance and discussions on wildlife conservation.

The zoo will also livestream Bindi, her 15-year-old brother Robert and their mom Terri, making an appearance to feed crocodiles. Attendees are encouraged to wear their “best khakis” — a Steve Irwin fashion staple that the rest of the family dons when working with animals.

“We think of daddy every day, and are carrying on in his footsteps,” Bindi said in an announcement for the zoo’s 2011 celebration. “I learned so much from my dad, he taught me new things every day… He inspires me to continue to fight for what I believe in every day and to never give up. I am so lucky to have my mum and brother there for me too; they’re always giving me support.”

Since Steve’s death in 2006 from a stingray attack while filming, the three Irwins have vowed to keep his vision alive. The trio have traveled the world promoting the nonprofit he started, Wildlife Warriors, an organization established to educate people on endangered species. They also work at the Australia Zoo (owned by Terri) and star in the Animal Planet series “Crikey! It’s the Irwins,” which premiered in October.

“All of his passion and enthusiasm still lives on in all of us at Australia Zoo. We will continue his legacy forever,” Bindi added at the time.

Bindi made headlines this summer after getting engaged to boyfriend Chandler Powell, a Florida native who met Irwin in 2013 when she gave him a tour of the Australia Zoo while he was visiting the country for a wakeboarding competition.

Powell proposed on her 21st birthday at – where else? – the Australia Zoo, the address for which is located on Steve Irwin Way.

“On my birthday I said ‘yes’ and ‘forever’ to the love of my life,” Irwin wrote in an Instagram post. “Chandler, close to 6 years ago I fell in love with you and every day since has been a whirlwind of adventure and true happiness. I’m so looking forward to spending our forever together as your wife. Here’s to a lifetime of friendship, purpose and unconditional love. — Now let’s get married already!”
