Surftoberfest raising funds for the Texas Surf Museum
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Hundreds are attending a free festival downtown with a unique local flair.
Surftoberfest is happening right now at the Texas Surf Museum and Executive Surf Club.
The event puts a Corpus Christi twist on the traditional German Festival, Oktoberfest.
This is the largest fundraiser event for the Texas Surf Museum, which is partnering with USO South Texas for the event.
It’s focusing on the newly installed Texas Surf Museum exhibit titled, “China Beach: Surfing during the Vietnam War and the healing power of wave riding.”
If you want to check it out for yourself, Surftoberfest goes until 11 pm tonight.
